	Autograph of LCDR Richard Wainwright. Executive Officer of the battleship USS Maine at the time of its sinking in Havana harbor in 1898. During the Spanish American War he commanded the USS Gloucester and performed brilliantly during the Battle of Santiago (July 3, 1898) engaging and destroying the Spanish ships “Pluton” and “Furor”. Circa 1898 autograph in pen on the back of his personal calling card.
