Buy on eBay - Top Ten Buyers Tips
1. Investigate the price that other eBay buyers have been paying for the item on e-Bay - Do some research - become accomplished at
searching eBay listings.
2. Read the auction description thoroughly.
3. Check the seller's feedback - be wary of sellers who have more than one or two negative feedback comments in the last year.
4. Ask questions - Don't assume anything about the item being sold - if you have a question about the item, write the seller an e-mail requesting additional information.
5. Decide before bidding the
maximum you'd be willing to pay and do not waiver from that maximum - Avoid "bidding wars".
6. Review the seller's shipping policy - Are shipping charges exhorbitant? - Does the shipper charge a
"handling" fee? 7. Don't buy any item "as is" unless you're willing to accept a broken item.
8. Avoid bidding on auctions that do not include an image.
9. Avoid sellers who do not offer a guarantee.
10. If the item you're interested in is a new item, make sure it is not selling for less at discount retailers such as Costco, Sam's, Walmart or Target.
